Mission: to restore John Carpenter’s Escape from New York brightness, contrast and color grading, plus original soundtrack and commentary.
Video sources: HDTV broadcast.
Audio sources: uncompressed PCM original soundtrack, captured directly from Collector’s Edition laserdisc, along with commentary; other soundtracks from BD and DVD.
Subtitles sources: to reflect soundtracks.

Personally, “Escape from New York” is one of my favourite movies; after I discovered that the EU Blu-ray is really bad, and the US Blu-ray is very dark, I began to search a better alternative; I found that the HDTV version broadcasted by HDNet is maybe the best compromise. The HDTV will be used as video source.
Plus, the Collector’s Edition laserdisc will be used to add the original soundtrack and the commentary.

Because I’m not allowed to post direct links, I could tell they are on a site called myinternalorgan.org, while you should leave intact only the first two letters, and replace the following by an actual human organ… 😀

Yeah, this is very vague. I want to see both of these and cannot find where to get them. it’s cool that you did such a great job, but if we can’t find them …
FYI the site he’s talking about exists, however, it’s not an open forum site, meaning you can’t just navigate to the site and poke around to find something. You have to be sent an invite from someone on that site to be able to get a login. Without that you’ve got no access to the site.
So even if he told you the name of the site it wouldn’t matter unless you knew someone who was a member who could/would send you an invite. Even then you’d have to do more than just find what you were looking for and get it. You’d have to become an active member of the site’s community. It’d really be nice if this stuff was more accessible.
BTW if you wanna know the site he’s talking about, I’ll give you a hint (not that it matters anyway). I won’t outright say it since he’s trying to be cryptic for a reason. Google human internal organs and there’s a site that’s an easy pace of learning that has a list of internal organs. One of those organs is an appropriate organ to use.
Once you find it you’ll be unimpressed and frustrated when you realize that once you found what you were looking for it won’t help you at all.

The fact is, if he was REALLY interested, the easier thing to do was to just drop me a message and ask for more info – as I do when I’m interested, really, in something.

I didn’t want to give away the info for the site, so I was making sure I didn’t put it out there. I guess I came across kind of rude, but I was just trying to reiterate to the people who were confused that this was not an easy endeavor, and that even if they did find the site they’d feel like all the work was for nothing once they realized they needed an invite.
Sorry if I didn’t convey it the way I meant to.
